Obama Talks Blago

Barack Obama hosted a press conference today to introduce Tom Daschle as the new Secretary for Health and Human Services, but the press corps was fixated on Rod Blagojevich. "What I am absolutely certain of is that my office had no involvement with any deal-making around that senate seat," Obama said. He added that he would provide a complete account of staffers' contact with the governor in the coming days. As further evidence of his distance from Blagojevich, Obama pointed out that the Illinois governor had some choice words for him in the FBI transcripts released on Tuesday. "I won’t quote back some of the things that were said about me," Obama said, "This is a family program, I know."

Why does the term "slavery" come to my mind every time I hear the selling of Obama's senate seat?

Speak of your own family, BHO, Rod's vocabulary is used in meal time table talk by many families. The DAILY BEAST requires the use of euphemisms such as fohter mucker, sock tucker, etc. You can hear the more direct words at popular, high priced cafes which cater to the elite. This is the reign of Elizabeth, II, not Victoria.
If you are uncomfortable with some of Gov Rod's words, Rahm can teach you how & when to use these words.

@larry278 while foul language has it's place in society firmly rooted, just because you have to use them to be able to communicate effectively doesn't mean we all do.

@DailyBeast I don't see anywhere in the story by CNN the quote you have provided in which larry278 seems to be referring. Where did you get that line?

@Larry278 The President Elect doesn't think it's appropriate to expose children to direct implications of incestuous intercourse and you're slamming him for being out of touch?

I mean, wow. Just wow.

In his response to the financial crisis, in his response to the terrorist attack in India (in which Americans were targeted) in his response to the scandal in Chicago - Obama has demonstrated no leadership qualities. His appointment of a Clinton third term is even more troubling - today he appointed Tom Daschele who with his wife are two big lobbyists. He is a terrible excuse for a world leader. I pity the USA with Bama, Barney Frank & Queen Pelosi in charge

MissSpanky you obviously haven't been watching what Obama has been doing. He is the President elect and has been performing his duties (selecting a cabinet/assigning duties) perfectly. As he had said many times BUSH is still the president and USA has only one president. So there really is nothing Obama can do over Bush. He put together a good team to handle the economy and did not meddle or try to influence judgment in the Blagojevich affair which was the correct thing to do. And you're really still smarting over the election if you think he didn't "handle" the Mumbai situation right.
