Palin and Bachmann Team Up

CS - Palin Bachmann

This headlining act is surely to get tongues wagging. The National Tea Party Convention announced that it has booked Representative Michele Bachmann (R-MN) to speak at their February 2010 event in Nashville. This is probably enough to get Tea Partiers excited, but Bachmann isn't even the highlight of the show: Top billing will go to Sarah Palin, who will be the event’s keynote speaker. The convention is the first ever of its kind, and will be sponsored by Nashville-based Tea Party Nation. The conference will be a place for Tea Partiers to network and strategize for 2010.

What is Unamerican about the values of the president and those who voted for him? A policy of peace with other nations instead of "my way or the highway," saving us from a financial disaster created by George W. Bush, who looked the other way while business ran amuck, acknowledging and including all the gifted people in this country who do not happen to be white? Birthers and the religious right are racist plain and simple.

Bachman who sees anti-Americans under every bed, and Palin, who is delusional, thinking she can be president, are both sad and would be laughable if it weren't so dangerous. The campaign trail really whet Palin's appetite for fame; she wants more than her 15 minutes. Why not do the Playboy centerfold and be done with it? Get real. Being president of the United States requires intelligence and ability (and a person who reads). These two are on their way to being a comical vaudeville act. It's sad but since this is a free country, the show must go on..

No wonder they are called the American Taliban. Do they want to see us destroyed.

There are Liberals, Conservatives, Middle of the road people and, believe it or not in addition, there are people who think. There are actually people in this and other countries that use their God given brains for something besides living in the predefined boxes of Liberal, Conservative, or Middle of the road. Unlike the "people who think in predefined boxes" these thinkers have contributed much to many cultures.

diamondgirl,
It is every American's right to disagree with the president, march in the streets, blog about their issues, and work for change. I applaud anyone who gets off the couch and works for something they believe in. But anyone who disagrees with you is not, by definition, a wack job nut bird commie. It is simply not true and you know it. I have taken a lot of shots at you diamondgirl, because I think you disagree with my fundamental right to disagree with you. I have never called you a fascist, I've never called you a nazi, I've never called you any prejorative of any sort regarding your political beliefs. Please explain why I am a wack job. And please don't make me regret having an actual conversation with you.

reasonable I believe thay don't want a repeat of a Hitler. Get the point someone who puts brownshirts oh, I mean czars in office. Someone who want's to take over 1/6 of our economy. Someone who is not transparent. Someone who;s hope and change means socialism. I think these people who are out there protesting have every right and reason to be there, they love Ameriica and they see that our country is on the decline and want to stop it. Maybe some day you will realize what thay are trying to do and might even appreciate it.

All of the culture warriors can go there and scream their heads off at the Republicans and the Democrats.

The Republicans can go back to representing small central government and conservative public policy.

And the culture warriors will have their platform for complaining about the state of the nation 24 / 7.

1) Little or no education beyond middle school
2) Blue collar, time-clock punchers
3) Belief in a Middle-Eastern deity that somehow resembles Charles Manson
4) Physically repulsive and in poor health, i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.
5) Socially retarded

Does that sound about right Mr. REAL American?

DanKenton: I am really opposed to the social and political views of both Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann. However your sarcastic description of "Sarah Palin" version of a "real" American is the very reason that "Blue collar, time-clock punchers" are so turned against people like you.
You come off as elitist, and think you are better than those of us, that actually do work for a living.
You, think about that.

|
9:35 am, Nov 25, 2009

ShutUpAndThink

It's easy to come down on "Blue collar clock punchers" because they consistently vote against their interests. They'd rather vote in accordance with their views on abortion or gay marriage instead something that might actually affect them, like lower taxes for the middle class, or affordable health insurance, or unions (power against corporations i.e. Republicans that could give a shit about their well-being), or "social" programs that would benefit them if they ever fell on hard times, or, or, or.

It's time for people to start voting on principles that might actually improve their lives NOW, rather than voting for a dream that one day they'll ALL be rich and will finally be able to reap the rewards of republican policy.

Dan you need to calm down, We are all Americans, I would hope we all love this Country, and so what if what you say are the Americans that relate to Palin have those things you listed? What if some dont agree with your list, you have no way to poll that to find out and what the truth is. Either way a lot of people like her now, who knows how long that will last, or if it will continue. Look at Obama, everyone looked as him with hope in their hearts, because of the mess Bush left us, but he is sinking like a stone right now, doing a lot of the same things Bush did, and people are not happy with him. So this is how the Country is reacting.
Happy Thanksgiving

Diamondgirl why don't you like socialism? Obama can't take us towards "socialism" because this country has been socialist since 1789 a long time prior to him. Everything you see around you has come from "socialism" directly or indirectly. Highways, schools, hospitals, damns, railroads, fire departments, waste management, water systems, and much more too numerous to mention here. The down side was when the banksters laid claim to the socialist money in 1913 with the passage of the Federal Reserve Act, giving private bankers control over our money. Now, as you've seen, between them and the insurance cartel we are having the blood sucked out of us. Of course it's difficult to discern where the banksters began and the insurance cartel ends. Banksters own much of the insurance industry.

Lost, I dont want the Government in everthing, they are in enough already, you are right. Every time they hire more government workers, my taxes go up, every time they create more entitlement programs my taxes go up. We need to have the private sector do these things so we dont end up paying and the rest get it for free.
As for the government, more and more its become aparant that both sides are corrupt and that has to change. As for the bankers, this Administration an the last one has taken care of the bankers of the world and left the poor in the dirt with not jobs and on welfare and unemployment. How is that good for those people?

This Administration is protecting the Insurance industry, the lawyers, drug co,unions, how are they any better?
What do you suggest?

I can appreciate that these guys are upset to not be in power anymore and that the next generation is taking over, but it really bothers me that they represent themselves with respect to a historical event that lacks the appropriate context. The original tea partiers were protesting taxation WITHOUT representation. These folks DO have representation, but unfortunately, since they are no longer in the majority their specific interests may not hold court. They are just as represented as anyone else. They're free to express their interests to their own representative and their representative will continue to serve what they expect to be the interest of the majority of their voting constituents. Could someone possibly explain that difference to them so they can pick a name that highlights their obvious ignorance less?

Our representatives have no obligation to administer our interests other than favor our vote. Corporations are legally people and money is their voice... unfortunately money speaks louder than words... For example, whenever some government official is in the position to make a sweeping decision concerning public consumption (think Al Jazeera, supports the terrorists) it's always worth a little investigation to see what the politician is sensitive about. Here was a politician that was telling us that if we were to look outside our spoon fed mass media that we were running the risk of being a enemy combatant... Clearly a situation where democracy is not a word that comes to mind.
Sweden's democracy (think NOT republic) has no middle man that can be so willingly hijacked to the highest bidder. Even the budget is resolved through referendum. Make note of Sweden's military budget and diplomatic aggression.

Don't you mean The Four Horsemen? The bringers of death... the apocalyptic foursome?

Because I know you are joking (or merely being foolish) to say these are four people with the greatest minds in the country. Two high school graduates, one who took five years for a degree in broadcasting, and Bachmann... an alumnus of a Charismatic Christian college (charismatic... ROFL!)

If those are the best minds... how are we all still alive?

But it is funny... those four represent American employment numbers, being that one of the four is unemployed (though that was self inflicted).

You betcha.
