Palin's 'Millions' Don't Add Up
Sarah Palin said she resigned as governor in order to save the state "millions" in defending her from ethics violation suits--but the figure her staff provided seems to be inflated, reports the Anchorage Daily News. Her staff said costs from public records requests, ethics complaints, and issues surrounding Palin’s “Troopergate” investigation totaled $1.9 million, but most of that money is hourly wages of state employees who would have gotten paid anyway. "Is it a check that we wrote, no, but is it staff hours, yes," Palin's spokeswoman said. The total was calculated by adding up the hours attorneys on fixed salaries in the governor’s office spent tending to complaints. While these attorneys spent time chipping away at the massive pile of inquiries directed toward Palin, their work didn’t actually drain money from police officers, roads, and teachers as the governor claimed this week.

Palin's alibi makes perfect sense. If she's not the governor she can't do anything unethical. So no more law suits!

Now that Palin has been freed from these ethics complaints and her responsibilities to Alaskans, she will leverage her folksy popularity to become THE anti-Obama, putting to shame such minor lunimaries as Rush, Sean, etc. The moose is loose !!

spent by the Palins is not real money? The state's governance was stifled by the 150 various complaints against the Governor and family. As an aside, was she ready for primetime in national politics when chosen by Senator McCain as the Vice Presidential candidate? No. Has she, her family and state taken an unfair amount of attack? Yes!

Palin's millions will indeed add up! She will never run for public office again. She will "earn" millions of dollars from giving speeches to the the idiot right of the Republican party, speeches that make no sense but have all of their favorite buzz words; she will make a lot of money from her book which she won't have written herself despite her journalism degree earned after she had tried to finish at four colleges, so why would she want to run in an election where her lack of brains and knowledge would repeatedly be exhibited?
Sarah Babblemouth will be rich but not hold or seek further public office.
Palin has such fanatical followers on the right that she could loot the state treasury on her way out the door and send the money to Switzerland, and they'd still want her to be president.
