Protesters Will Face Trial
Ayatollah Khamenei's lengthy address to the nation on Friday turned out to be a hard-line call for vigilante justice from the Basij militia, as well as an ominous promise to brutally punish protesters swept up in the oppression. Now, Iran's judiciary will establish a special court to handle those arrested during the protests, the LA Times reports. The actual number of those detained remains unclear, though somewhere between 500 and 1,000 were arrested on Saturday alone. Despite the crackdown, Mir-Hossein Mousavi exhorted his supporters to continue non-violent protests, saying they should "not become irritated by those who try to make you hopeless and intimidate you." The Guardian Council, which admitted to voter fraud in 50 cities, is expected to make a final announcement about the legitimacy of the election on Wednesday.

Anybody surprised?
My bet is that the prison they go to will make Abu Ghraib look like Disneyland.
That is, if they make it to prison.
I was thinking along the lines of prisons in Iraq while Sadam and his sons were in power! Makes Gitmo look like a vacation, minus the music maybe, can you imagine having to listen to Yanni or Barry Manilow, that is torture!
Massive voter fraud following by shootings, beatings, mass arrests, and imprisonment......the Ayatollah's idea of fair elections leaves something to be desired.
these people are hostages whose lives are forfeit if this revolutionary attempt fails. So they had better not fail. They have to fight as if for their lives because these arrests will not be the last. Every single youtube and twitter post is state's evidence if that government remains in power. They have to push.
Thank you.
