Roddick Beats Murray in Semi Finals
Perhaps the third time will be a charm for Andy Roddick, who will face five-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer in the finals on Sunday. It will be the third final for the pair in six years; both times Federer won. Roddick advanced Friday morning by beating British sensation Andy Murray 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (5) in a much-hyped Andy vs. Andy game. The hometown crowd was subdued when Roddick won, as Murray would have been the first British man to reach the finals in 71 years.

Yes! (pumping fist)

Somehow I don't think this will be as good as last year. Sorry Brits.

lefty, nothing on the tennis court will likely
ever compare to last year's match.
But, perhaps Andy Roddick can
reinvigorate American tennis
with a win over the Greatest Who Ever Played the Game!
And, as to the Brits' hurt feelings, save your
sympathy. You should have heard the Wimbledon
radio telecast during the collective Andys' match
yesterday. I had to finally turn the dern thing off,
as the British announcers were sniff, sniff, sniffing
ever so pompously, and I remembered that Americans
love our cousins, but we also had to whup em back
in 1775.
Thank you.
