Rove Meets Reality
How bad are John McCain’s prospects? So bad that even Karl Rove can’t find a way to paint the electoral map red. Over on his eponymous site, Rove surveys recent polling and concludes that were the election held today, Obama would win with at least 273 electoral votes. McCain only has 163 locked down. Turd Blossom isn’t without hope: “Remember, though, that these state polls are a lagging indicator and most do not include any survey done after the vice-presidential debate on Thursday night.” If the polls showing Biden besting Palin are any indicator, then Rove’s is a lusterless silver lining.
