Sarah Palin’s Back on Twitter
She's ba-ack. After a several-month Twitter hiatus, during which fans were forced to look elsewhere for updates from the former vice-presidential candidate, Sarah Palin has promised to return to the social network as she takes to the road to promote her new book, Going Rogue. After pledging to Tweet regularly about her upcoming projects when she resigned from the governorship of Alaska in July, she went rogue and made regular updates on Facebook instead. But in a surprise Monday announcement, Palin told friends and followers on Facebook that she would maintain her Twitter from the road; her post, which also announced new dates on the book tour, was "liked" by 3,218 people. "SarahPalinUSA," the Wasilla resident's new Twitter account, currently has 0 Tweets but over 10,000 followers.

My, my, my. So much for Palin living by her undelivered concession speech, her resignation speech or her initial tweets. It's now pretty clear that Palin is all about Palin and what can make her rich. Doubtful these tweets will be from her. I'm sure Murdoch has an H-C handler composing sweetness and light from the road. For Palin it's clearly not about people, voters, good government or a vision of America; it's all about the money (and the special interests that pay her).

I think its remarkable that Twitter and Facebook have taken such a significant role in our society. The number of likes and followers and posts associated with a former politician are of zero value to anyone... and yet they get mentioned in news stories and commented on.
And while I'm posting, I just throw into the mix that I think Sarah Palin is a moron.

Given enough time Palin will burn herself out. She will eventually be a footnote in history. All we have to do is wait. I would rather have her making a lot of money in the private sector than much less money in the public sector where she would cause some dmage.
