In what’s becoming a near-weekly scare, another earthquake has struck, this time in the western Chinese province of Qinghai. The U.S. Geological Survey said it was of a 6.9 magnitude, and its epicenter was 235 miles south-southeast of Golud, a large city in the province. Houses were toppled and telecommunications were down. Sixty-seven people were reportedly killed, and the death toll is expected rise.
