    David Hockney Creates iPad Art

Since purchasing his iPhone a couple years ago, famed British pop artist David Hockney has been dipping his virtual brush in Apple art and he’s now moving up to the latest medium—the iPad. Using the Brushes app on the device, which is not yet available in the UK, the 72-year-old master has created some exciting new works. “I do love it, I must admit,” Hockney told Bloomberg. “I thought the iPhone was great… but this takes it to a new level. It’s a new medium, eight times the size.” With his coveted new canvas on a special inside pocket of his jackets, Hockney can now create at the press of a button. “I draw flowers every day and send them to my friends so they get fresh blooms every morning,” he added. “And my flowers last! Who would have thought that the telephone would bring back drawing?”
