Feds Probing Morgan Stanley Deals

Plenty of room alongside Goldman Sachs in the doghouse: Federal prosecutors are investigating Morgan Stanley for possibly misleading investors about mortgage-backed derivatives it helped to design. Traders at the bank bet against investment instruments that the bank had sold to investors. The Wall Street Journal says, “The probe is at a preliminary stage.”
