    Lawrence O’Donnell Gets MSNBC Show

Lawrence O’Donnell will have a new primetime show on MSNBC, the network announced Tuesday. O’Donnell’s show will air at 10 p.m., replacing the repeat of Keith Olbermann’s show. O’Donnell has frequently subbed for Olbermann and other hosts, and the promotion gives MSNBC a solid primetime block of liberal talking heads (the network’s president said O’Donnell—who served as an aide to Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-NY)--fits in because he’s “smart, progressive and based in fact.”). Countdown with Keith Olbermann and The Rachel Maddow Show repeats will be pushed back an hour, so that they air the same time on the West Coast as they do in the East.
