Charlie Sheen is suing Capri Anderson, a 22-year-old escort, for extortion. In a lawsuit filed with L.A. County Superior Court late Monday, Sheen alleges that Anderson demanded "at least One Million Dollars" from him—or else she would report him to Aspen, Colorado, prosecutors. The suit, filed by Hollywood lawyer Marty Singer, also claims that Anderson threatened "to embarrass him and attempt to damage his career by going to the media with her false tale." On Monday afternoon, Anderson herself filed a criminal complaint against Sheen, and on Monday morning, she appeared on Good Morning America to tell her side of the story—alleging that Sheen had agreed to pay her $3,500 to escort him to dinner (she says she was never paid). She also claims she was offered $20,000 "in a text message" to stay mum on her evening with Sheen. The actor, meanwhile, responded to Anderson's interview through his manager, who told TMZ, "This is a woman, who for the right amount of money, sleeps with strangers."
