Oops! Sarah Palin and daughter Bristol attempted to trademark their names last month, it was revealed recently, filing a claim with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. But the mother-daughter duo was rejected when they failed to sign their names on the application. The Palins were seeking protection in attaching their names to “education and entertainment services” such as motivational speaking, according to the claim filed in early November. They are free to file again.
