Oscar Show Lineup Leaks

Although producers are desperately trying to inject some youthful enthusiasm into Sunday evening’s 83rd Annual Academy Awards ceremony, broadcast in 200 countries worldwide, a leaked annotated Oscar schedule obtained by Deadline Hollywood Daily points to yet another boring awards show. According to the purported schedule, hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway will open the show with a Billy Crystal-esque skit inserting themselves in scenes from the 10 Best Picture nominees; the co-hosts will make five wardrobe changes and pop up regularly throughout the show; “Scenic Transitions” to Hollywood’s history will consist of virtual reality sets, including transporting viewers to the very first Oscars; there will be no live singing and dancing numbers featuring Franco and Hathaway together; and a planned Oscar number of Franco in drag singing Cher’s song from Burlesque, “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me,” was scrapped because Oscar producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer decided that Franco’s singing was just too horrible.
