    If only Leona Helmsley were alive to see this: A red Tibetan mastiff puppy named Big Splash has sold in China for $1.5 million, which makes him the world’s most expensive dog. He was purchased by a coal baron in China, where Tibetan mastiffs have become a status symbol. Previously, the world’s most expensive dog was another Tibetan mastiff named Yangtze River Number Two, who sold for less than half Big Splash’s price.
