Afghanistan endured a second day of violence Saturday sparked by Florida Pastor Terry Jones' Koran-burning. At least nine people were killed and 80 injured as a crowd of thousands marched through Kandahar, chanting slogans and attacking government buildings. The violent demonstration comes after a crowd angry over the burning of a Koran in Florida attacked the U.N. mission in Mazar-i-Sharif, killing four Nepalese guards and three European workers—one Swedish, one Norwegian, and one Romanian, as well as several Afghans. A spokesman for the governor of Kandahar said the Taliban is using the Koran-burning as an excuse to incite violence. But Interior Ministry spokesman Zemari Bashery says there's no evidence the attack was planned.
