After months of rumors, Fox has officially announced that British pop star Cheryl Cole will be a judge on the U.S. version of X Factor. The former Girls Aloud singer was also a judge on the U.K. version of the series. “America is gonna love this,” Cole said. She joins L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell, but one more judge has yet to be selected. Cowell has said that Paula Abdul, Mariah Carey, and George Michael are all in the running, but Fox has not made any official announcements. Former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and High School Musical’s Corbin Bleu are reportedly in talks to co-host the series.
