Two terrorist leaders in one month? Afghanistan’s intelligence agency is investigating reports that Taliban leader Mohammad Omar and his top commanders have vanished from their hideout along the Aghan-Pakistan border. The reports that he’d gone missing prompted some Afghan media outlets to declare him dead—a claim the Taliban quickly denied, insisting the leader is "alive and well." Afghan intelligence officers say Omar, who has been living in Quetta for 10 years, disappeared some time in the last four or five days, and that they aren’t sure whether he is alive or dead.
