JUSTICE Edwards Sex Tape Testimony Delayed

Edwards Sex Tape Testimony Delayed

Both John Edwards and the American public will be spared the spectacle of the former senator testifying about his alleged sex tape—at least for now. A judge ruled that Edwards, who twice ran for president, won’t yet have to testify in a suit in which his former mistress Rielle Hunter claims his former campaign aide improperly took a sex tape depicting Edwards and Hunter. Edwards is currently facing federal criminal charges of violating campaign finance laws related to his cover-up of his affair with Hunter. The judge ruled that he can delay his testimony until after the criminal charges are resolved, saying the risk of violating Edwards’ right against self-incrimination is too great.
