INTERNET GIANTS Google Launches Social Network

Google Launches Social Network

Could Google's new social-networking venture overshadow Facebook? Though it's still in a "field trial period," the Internet company has launched Google+, designed as a more exclusive network for users that will allow them to "share just the right things with the right people," and to create "circles" of contacts like “your friends from Saturday night," "your parents," "your boss in a circle by himself—just like in real life." Google+ is more nuanced than Facebook and is aiming to mimic real-life interaction. It also will allow users to group video chat.
