Senate Confirms Petraeus to CIA

    The Senate can agree on something after all: Gen. David Petraeus, formerly the top commander in the war in Afghanistan, was unanimously confirmed as director of the Central Intelligence Agency. The four-star general was in charge of the Iraq War during the troop surge and went on to lead Central Command. He took over the Afghanistan mission last summer. Petraeus assumes duties from Leon Panetta, who was approved as Secretary of Defense last week.
