Man Builds Electric Chair

A man in Britain was arrested after building an electric chair in his garage and attempting to murder his wife in it. According to the Telegraph, Andrew Castle hooked up a metal armchair to an electric cable before planning to lure his wife into it, knock her out with a club, and flip the switch. She struggled, however, before he could knock her unconscious. She escaped through a side door with minor head injuries. Police later found Castle in the backyard, after he had tried to slit his wrists. He has since admitted attempted murder and has been jailed for 10 years.
