Kenneth Thompson, a lawyer for the maid who accused Dominique Strauss-Kahn of rape, has had harsh words for Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. But Tuesday, Thompson and fellow attorney Douglas Widor met with Vance for a private discussion at the prosecutor’s office. The content of the conversation was not clear; Vance directed reporters to Thompson, who declined to comment. But Thompson has previously called for Vance to remove himself from the case, saying the D.A. is afraid of taking it to trial, and has demanded a full transcript of a phone call in a rare West African language that prosecutors say makes them doubt the accuser’s account.
