N. Korean Official Invited to U.S.

    North Korea's vice foreign minister has been invited to visit the United States, a sign that relations are thawing and six-nation talks over the country's nuclear threat could be revived. Kim Kye Gwan will travel to New York this week to discuss how to resume international negotiations, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday. The U.S. will be pushing North Korea to take concrete steps toward disarmament.
