DSK Maid Makes First Public Speech

    She’s taking her case to the people: Days after breaking her silence in interviews with Newsweek and ABC, the hotel maid accusing Dominique Strauss-Kahn of rape made her first public appearance at a church in Brooklyn, New York. Thanking her supporters at one of the city’s largest black churches, Nafissatou Diallo said, “I’ve been asking God, Why? Why me?” Diallo’s bold moves this week have many wondering if the public intervention could hurt her case.
