Police Help Apple Search for iPhone 5

The San Francisco Police Department confirmed that its personnel joined Apple employees to search the home of Sergio Calderon for the missing iPhone 5. The SFPD had previously said it had no record of the search, but then admitted that its members had in fact accompanied Apple security personnel to the house, though only Apple employees went inside. According to a press release from the SFPD, Apple called the police department and requested assistance after electronically tracking the missing phone to the home. An earlier report said that Apple employees searched the house posing as police officers, which is a criminal offense.
