Less than 24 hours after his jobs speech, President Obama has hit the road to campaign for his $447 billion plan to inject life into the economy. Obama spoke at the University of Richmond Friday morning, repeating that there was “nothing radical” in the bill, but that it’s a surefire way to “put folks back to work.” The president urged citizens to call, email, Tweet, Facebook, and even “send a carrier pigeon” to influence the passing of the bill. Again, the president blamed Congress and the GOP for partisan bickering, especially during the debt debate. Interestingly, the University of Richmond is in Rep. Eric Cantor’s district. Up next on Obama’s schedule is Ohio—John Boehner’s home state.
