Another one? A 6.6 magnitude earthquake hit off the east coast of Japan early Saturday morning. The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the quake was relatively shallow at 22.6 miles beneath the Earth’s surface. While there was no tsunami warning or damages immediately reported, the tremors had to have shaken Japan’s coastal residents, who are still recovering from the disaster caused by the major earthquake and subsequent tsunami in March. In July, a 7.1 magnitude quake hit off the country’s northeastern coast but luckily turned out to be harmless.
