Guess the Dancing With the Stars audience wasn’t too thrilled with the idea of having a winner named Metta World Peace. Ron Artest, who legally changed his name to Metta World Peace last week, became the first contestant to be eliminated from the 13th season of the show Tuesday night. Going into that episode, Artest and Court TV host Nancy Grace were in danger of being voted off. Artest had earned low marks for his cha-cha with his partner, rookie pro Peta Murgatroyd, which even Artest acknowledged was “harsh.” Left in the competition are author and activist Chaz Bono, TV talk-show host Ricki Lake, actor David Arquette, model and actress Elisabetta Canalis, reality-TV star Kristin Cavallari, reality-TV star Rob Kardashian, fashion guru Carson Kressley, Iraq war vet J. R. Martinez, singer Chynna Phillips, and soccer player Hope Solo.
