Obama Sold Special Bombs to Israel

In the upcoming issue of Newsweek, Eli Lake reveals the Obama administration's special efforts to provide Israel with "bunker busters"—deep-penetrating bombs the country has been asking for since the Bush administration. The Obama administration had to grapple with concerns that the weapons sale could be perceived by Iran as a greenlight for Israel to attack the country's nuclear facilities. Several months after Obama took office in 2009, GBU-28 hard target penetrators were delivered to Israel.
