NYPD to Probe Pepper-Sprayings

A demonstrator is hauled off by police following a march through the Financial District to protest the economic system on September 20, 2011 in New York City. People are taking part in the multi-day protest organized by "Occupy Wall Street" by camping out in near-by Zuccotti Park and marching through the financial district as people make their way to work.

Both the NYPD and New York City prosecutors will launch an investigation of police use of pepper spray after a second video emerged of Detective Inspector Anthony Bologna using it on more Wall Street protesters. Announcing the investigation, NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly was skeptical of the videos, saying, “In my experience, proponents of a certain position would show you just what they want to show you.” Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance has also opened an investigation.
