Hurricane Jova Heads for Mexico

After developing into a Category 3 hurricane on Monday, Jova continues to make its way toward Mexico’s western coast, expected to hit with major strength sometime Tuesday afternoon or evening. Mexican emergency officials opened more than 100 shelters for those instructed to evacuate the hurricane’s path, and several cruise ships that had planned to pass through the Mexican Riviera have had to reroute their trips.
