Herman Cain’s loss is Newt Gingrich’s gain: Newt leads the GOP field in a new survey from Public Policy Polling, showing him at 28 percent versus 25 percent for Cain and just 18 percent for Mitt Romney. Separately, a CNN poll showed Gingrich within the margin of error, trailing Romney’s 24 percent with 22 percent. Cain’s decline, meanwhile, may continue after he waited 11 seconds to reply to a question about his position on Libya and asked whether President Obama supported the removal of Muammar Gaddafi. He tried to answer, eventually saying, “I gotta go back, see, got all this stuff twirling around in my head.”
