Solyndra: White House Asked to Hide Layoffs

    The Solyndra case just keeps getting worse for the White House. Newly exposed emails reveal the now-defunct solar company delayed announcing layoffs until after the 2010 midterms at the behest of the Obama administration. This information adds fuel to the Republican fire that President Obama took advantage of his clean-energy initiative to give large loans to friends and supporters. The investigation into the demise of Solyndra shows that the Obama administration was aware of the company's failings but continued to provide it with funds.
