Los Angeles police say they've detained someone in connection with the arsons plaguing the city—55, as of this morning. It's not clear whether the person is the same one seen in security-camera footage, a man in his late 20s with a dark ponytail seen exiting a parking garage shortly before a car caught fire. CNN reports that the person detained is a male. Police distributed DVDs of the security footage Sunday and said they wanted the man for questioning. Fire fighters battled 12 new fires last night and early this morning.
