Hackman Hit By Pickup Truck

Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman has been released from a hospital with only "a few bumps and bruises" after being hit by a pickup truck while riding his bike, according to his publicist. Hackman, 81, was airlifted from the Florida Keys to a Miami hospital after the accident yesterday afternoon. The celebrated actor wasn't wearing a helmet, but luckily landed on a grassy shoulder off the road. Hackman, who has won two Academy Awards and been nominated for three others, will celebrate his 82nd birthday this month.
