Miss. Teen Pleads Guilty to Murder

Nineteen-year-old Deryl Dedmon of Mississippi pled guilty to murdering 47-year-old James Craig Anderson, an African-American autoworker who died in June after being beaten and run over by a truck by Dedmon. Dedmon, who is white, received two life sentences for his role in the killing. Dedmon was hanging out with a group of his friends when they decided to find a black man to harass, the trial revealed. Dedmon said he took full responsibility for the killing and hopes Anderson’s family can forgive him.
