After clashing with police on Sunday, protesters were back on the streets Monday as leaders from the 28 NATO countries met. Protests were more peaceful in comparison with yesterday’s demonstrations. Hundreds of protesters demonstrated peacefully outside of President Obama’s campaign headquarters, though they were vastly outnumbered by police there. Protesters, many of them organized by Occupy Chicago, took aim at the headquarters for Boeing, as well as JPMorgan Chase and Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s office. One leader said they “made their voices heard.” Police arrested 45 people on Sunday, and four officers were taken to the hospital, including one who was stabbed in the leg.
