The photos in the West Wing regularly rotate, but one has been on the wall for three years: an image of Obama bending over in the Oval Office as a sharply dressed black boy touches his head. The White House says the image is so captivating to aides and visitors that it has remained by popular demand. The boy, 5-year-old Jacob Philadelphia, told Obama during a 2009 visit, “I want to know if my hair is just like yours.” Obama had to persuade him to touch it and find out, and a photographer snapped the now-iconic photo.
