Romney Wins Five Primaries

Here’s a shocker: Mitt Romney won five GOP primaries Tuesday night. No, it actually wasn’t a big surprise that the former Massachusetts governor ran away with contests in New Mexico, New Jersey, Montana, California, and South Dakota to bring his delegate total to 1,398–far above the 1,144 delegates he needs to clinch the nomination. Only one Republican primary is left and will take place in Utah on June 26. In a New Jersey GOP primary for a state representative slot, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, well known for being a sex therapist, former adviser to Michael Jackson, and reality-TV guru, has won a shot at the general election come November.
