Another Newark resident has Cory Booker to thank. The smoke-eating, crime-fighting, Obama-proxying New Jersey mayor was on the scene Saturday morning when citizen Michael Davidson rushed to the aid of a pedestrian who had been hit by a moving car. Booker tweeted that he, Davidson, and others “got man stabilized & into ambulance. He’ll b OK. Thanx 2 all who helped.” According a spokesman for the Essex County prosecutor, Davidson, an employee of the prosecutor’s office, “saw the victim was face down on the ground.” Minutes later “the mayor showed up, followed by an ambulance and Newark PD,” the spokesperson said.
