Uggie the dog continues to make waves in Hollywood. The Jack Russell terrier from The Artist planted his paw prints in the cement outside of Hollywood’s Grauman’s Chinese Theater, becoming the first canine to do so. Uggie won the 2011 Palm Dog award at the Cannes Film Festival, and fans launched a campaign to give Uggie an Oscar but were thwarted by academy rules saying that only humans are eligible for acting awards. Uggie’s trainer said: “Everybody thinks I am great trainer. I don’t think so. I think he is just a great dog.”
