    Nicolas Sarkozy’s Home Searched

    Sacre bleu! French investigators have searched the home of former president Nicolas Sarkozy in connection to accusations of illegal financing for his 2007 campaign. A law firm Sarkozy owns was also probed. The investigation centers around Liliane Bettencourt, the L’Oréal heiress and France’s richest woman. She’s accused of giving the Sarkozy campaign illegal funds. Given that he just lost the presidential election to François Hollande, Sarkozy’s had a rough year.
