How could they say no to that face? When Kameron Slade was first invited by New York's city council speaker to read a speech he wrote two months ago in favor of gay marriage for a school competition, his principal would not allow it because she felt it was inappropriate. Now, after local media coverage and a YouTube video of Kameron reading his speech turned the 10-year-old turned into a miniature crusader for equal rights and free speech, he was finally allowed to deliver his speech at the city council on Thursday. "President Barack Obama recently talked about same-sex marriage with his wife and two daughters. Some people are for same-gender marriage, while others are against it," Kameron said into the microphone, clad in a pressed gray suit, as his mother, father and grandmother looked on. "Like President Obama, I believe that all people should have the right to marry whoever they want. Marriage is about love, support, and commitment. So who are we to judge."
