Police in Maryland have arrested a man who they say was planning an office shooting because he was about to be fired from his job at a document, shipping, and mailing company. Investigators from Prince George's and Anne Arundel counties say Neil Trescott had called a coworker and expressed his desire to shoot his former boss. At Trescott’s home, police found more than 20 guns, including handguns and assault rifles, and 400 rounds of ammunition. At least one law-enforcement source said authorities were convinced Trescott intended to go through with his threat. Another told ABC 7 that the shooting “could have been another Aurora,” a reference to the recent massacre in Colorado during a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises.
