Two Victims Remembered

Matt McQuinn and Jessica Ghawi, two victims of the Aurora movie theater shootings, will be remembered this Saturday at memorials. McQuinn, 27, died shielding his girlfriend from bullets. "We hate to lose him," his uncle told WKEF, a CNN affiliate. "You can't replace a person." Ghawi, 24, was a budding sports journalist who last month survived a shooting in Toronto. In the wake of that tragedy, Ghawi—who went by the professional surname Redfield—wrote "I was shown how fragile life was on Saturday … I was reminded that we don't know when or where our time on Earth will end. When or where we will breathe our last breath."
