‘Dark Knight Rises’ Falls 60 Percent
Well, maybe it isn’t as good as its predecessor. The Dark Knight Rises maintained the No. 1 spot at the box office, earning $64 million in its second weekend. It dropped 60 percent from its opening weekend, but the film has grossed more than $289 million in its first 10 days of release. The movie is still trailing behind its predecessor, The Dark Knight. In 2008 that film dropped 53 percent in its second weekend to $75.17 million for a 10-day cumulative gross of $313.8 million.
