Romney Raises $2 Million on the Shore

Mitt Romney got lucky on the Jersey Shore yesterday and not in a drunken Snooki-crawls-in-Vinny's-bed sort of way. No, the presidential hopeful didn't have time for gym, tanning, laundry or even a quick drink at Karma, as he was down the shore looking to collect money and support from Republicans in the predominately-Jewish Lakewood and and Bruce Springsteen's home town of Rumson. The loot from Romney's two $1,000-a-head events ($10,000 for a photo and $25,000 for face time with Mitt) totalled $2 million. Ever the speed demon, Romney's motorcade was also spotted going 90 miles per hour down the New Jersey Turnpike, making a typically 61-minute drive to Newark Liberty International Airport in just 45 minutes.
