Michael J. Fox Series Lands at NBC
Will be based on his battle with Parkinson’s.
Michael J. Fox is returning home. The sitcom veteran’s new comedy series, which sparked a “feeding frenzy” of a bidding war when he pitched it to networks last week, has been picked up by NBC--the network he first broke out on three decades ago as Alex P. Keaton in Family Ties. Fox’s new series is inspired by his own life, following a husband and father of three who is battling Parkinson’s disease. It’s his first regular TV role since departing Spin City in 2000.
