3 Bombings Target Mosques
In northern Iraqi town of Kirkuk, three bombings killed civilians leaving Shiite mosques on Friday. At one scene, two bombs exploded from a parked car, with another explosive detonating as rescuers rushed to the scene, killing eight. Three more bombs went off at two other mosques, injuring another 34. The city is a disputed area that is being claimed by a mix of Kurds, Sunnis, and Turkomen.
